Our organic chickpea flour is sourced from the organic plantations of the southern Ethiopian part which provides us with many organic raw materials. We process it only with water and sun and grind it with great concern to include its wholeness in the final product.

Chickpeas are high in dietary fibre, especially a soluble fibre called raffinose. The good bacteria in your gut breaks this down so your colon can digest it slowly. Studies have found that eating more chickpeas can help make bowel movements easier and more regular. They can help lower cholesterol as well.

Among Ethiopian and Eritrean people, it has many use cases of which kicha ater and shembera asa are the most famous once.

We are proud to be the only company who sell you our home-grown chickpea flour (shimbra duket/ nay ater haruch).
